Student's Bio
Monika Nagui is a sophomore majoring in Psychology and minoring in Data Science. Monika was born in Assuit, Egypt to a Coptic Orthodox Family. In Egypt, there is not much advocacy for mental health and not much is known about it. Therefore, Monika's research interests in psychology focus on mental health and psychopathology. Monika has worked with Dr. Sheffield since the summer of 2021 and has been studying first episode psychosis.. After finishing undergraduate studies, Monika plans to attend graduate school to pursue a career in psychopathology. During free time, Monika can be found hanging out with friends, reading, or working on puzzles. Monika is also active in community service clubs on campus: Orthodox Christian Campus Ministries and American Red Cross at Vanderbilt.
