Student's Bio
Ivy is a junior majoring in Child Development and Molecular & Cellular Biology. Since 2019, she has been an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Andrea Page-McCaw’s lab, which is interested in why wounds drive quiescent epithelial cells to invade, migrate, and proliferate—hallmark actions of carcinoma cells. Specifically, Ivy investigates changes in epithelial tension after wounding from a biophysical perspective. Outside of lab, Ivy is involved in Volunteers for Health, Begin with Books, Vanderbilt Pre-Medical Society, and the VIGH Student Advisory Committee.
