Student's Bio
Emma Kirby is a Senior majoring in Bassoon and German Studies with an Honors Concentration in Musicology/Ethnomusicology. Under the direction of Dr. Douglas Shadle, she examined the soundtrack of three films from Weimar-era Germany, aiming to reveal the interwoven nature of culture, politics, and music and the integral role of the soundtrack through musical analysis.
