Student's Bio
Alyssa Bolster is a senior double majoring in Anthropology and LHS. She has worked with Dr. Tung in her Bioarchaeology and Stable Isotope Research Lab for 3 years, and is completing her senior honors thesis in anthropology using the lab resources, culminating in this research presentation. She is interested in the impact of non-Western imperialism on the lived experience of individuals and communities in the past, and has focused particularly on the diet and foodways of individuals interred at a site called La Real in Peru, who experienced the encroachment of the Wari empire in the Middle Horizon.
